Welcome to CM's!
For over 27 years we have been known for our great food. We purchase the best ingredients and change our menu regularly to reflect the change of seasons and the availability of different ingredients. Whenever possible we try to use seasonal, locally grown ingredients. We proudly serve cheeses made at Cato corner farm in Colchester, ice cream from Buck’s of Milford, produce from Schultz Farm in Hamden and Gresczyk Farms in New Hartford; beef, pork and veal from Eagle Wood Farm in Barkhamstead are a few of the locally procured items we feature every day. We are located in the Upper State Street area of New Haven and are known for our great food, great drink and great people.
For a quarter century, Christopher Martins has offered a winning combination of fine dining & service in a comfortable relaxed setting.
Christopher Martins Restaurant & Pub is always in good taste. Bring yourself and your guests for some of the best Continental Cuisine available anywhere. Creative dishes served by our staff in a warm and casual style. We are just a brisk walk or ride to and from the New Haven theater district and Yale University. New Artwork by
Monotypes and Mixed Media
Robin Hochstrasser has lived in Hamden, Connecticut for the past thirteen years with her husband and children. Shortly after moving to Connecticut from Chicago she met a printmaker at the Guilford Art Fair. Intrigued by the print-making process, she immediately enrolled in a printmaking class at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven and has been creating colorful monotypes ever since. Influenced by nature, quilt making and her travels to Europe, she creates colorful monotypes that are both beautiful and thought provoking. “I will work on a print until I find the right balance between color and texture. Sometimes it happens quickly, but it usually requires a great deal of trial and error. Monotypes are wonderful because each print is an original.” Robin has participated in City Wide Open Studios and has shown her work at Wunderlee Arts Gallery in Westville, Taste Restaurant in North Haven and West Cove Studio and Gallery.
